Rita Pereira, from Guimarães, will go to Krakow

One of the goals of the II Meeting of Young Ambassadors of World Heritage Cities was to choose a member from the group. Their goal was going to be a very special one, as the winner will represent this meeting in Krakow next June.

These three days have been full of hard work and shared good times talking about World Heritage. But, undoubtedly, one of the most moving moments was when we announced Rita Pereira, Young Ambassador from Guimarães had been voted to go there.

Her face could not hide how surprised and happy she was when she knew she was the winner. Her fellow Young Ambassadors, as well as the experts from each city, thought that, after her passionate speech about her hometown, there could not be a better representative.

Now she will be in charge of sharing with everyone who attends the World Congress of Heritage Cities what this meeting was about, the methodology we used and the dialogue between Heritage Cities and, of course, Heritage Citizens that was established during this second meeting in Ibiza.

And, although we are positive that each and every one of the Young Ambassadors in Ibiza would have done an outstanding job in Krakow, we are sure Rita will be an incredible Young Ambassador, again. We wish you the best of lucks!
